Catawba College’s Writer in Residence Dr. Janice Moore Fuller and Catawba theatre arts Associate Professor Dr. Elizabeth Homan have been awarded a residency at the Ragdale Foundation in July and August.
This honor is bestowed upon Fuller and Homan in recognition of their outstanding work.
During the residency, the two will work on their second collaboration together, a stage adaptation of William Faulkner’s novel, “As I Lay Dying.”
Ragdale is a nonprofit, internationally acclaimed artists’ community 30 miles north of Chicago in Lake Forest, Ill., and acceptance to the community is highly competitive. Recipients are chosen through an application process, with primary emphasis placed on anonymous evaluation of the applicants’ work by professionals in each genre.
Each year, Ragdale provides residencies for nearly 200 emerging and established artists, writers and composers from all over the world. In addition, Ragdale provides workshops and programs to those in the surrounding communities.
