Williams chosen as Girls State delegate

Lauren Ashley Williams has been chosen as a delegate to Tar Heel Girls State by the Kennedy-Hall Unit 106 American Legion Auxiliary.
The event starts Sunday at Catawba College.
Williams is the daughter of Karen and Tim Williams of Holly Springs and the granddaughter of Dorothy Kepley of Salisbury. She has been a member of Kennedy-Hall American Legion Unit 106 Junior Auxiliary for the past nine years and represents the post as their queen in all official capacities, including the Fourth of July.
Williams is a rising senior at Holly Springs High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, Key Club, History Clue, Dance program and the Book Club. She is also a member of the cheerleading squad and a soccer coach. She is a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Lincolnton.
