KANNAPOLIS (AP) ó A police document says a Kannapolis man accused of finding a man on Craigslist to rape his wife told her to shower after so she would destroy evidence.
The affidavit released today also said the woman told Kannapolis police she wrestled a knife away from the suspect while her husband just watched during the May 31 crime.
The husband faces first-degree rape and other charges and is still in the Cabarrus County jail. The Associated Press does not generally identify victims of sexual assault and is not naming the man to avoid identifying his wife.
