A Salisbury woman is in jail under $100,000 bond after authorities say she got prescription painkillers from three different drug stores using prescriptions from multiple doctors.
Lynda Quinby Johnson, 33, of 235-B Brown Acres Road is charged with nine counts of obtaining controlled substances by fraud and three counts of trafficking in opium.
Authorities say Johnson obtained hydrocodone and oxycodone from Rite Aid, Medicine Shoppe and China Grove Drug “without informing current doctor of multiple receipts of painkilling narcotics substance from different physicians,” arrest reports say.
The offenses occurred between Nov. 14, 2008 and May 14, 2009, according to the Rowan Sheriff’s Office.
The trafficking charges stem from Johnson having possession of more than 28 grams of opium on Dec. 15, 2008 and Feb. 13 and May 14 of this year.
