Sewer installation contract awarded

Salisbury City Council has awarded a $733,343 contract to Triangle Grading and Paving Inc. of Burlington for installation of sewer in a portion of the 2007 annexation area off Majolica and Harrison roads.
The city received 17 bids for the project, and Triangle Grading and Paving was the lowest bidder.
The awarded contract came in below the original estimate.
Council also has awarded a $307,009 contract to RAM Development of Mooresville Inc. for another portion of sewer installations in the same annexation area.
The city had 15 bids for that particular contract, and the awarded amount comes in below original estimates.
