Memorial Day at Rowan Regional

Employees, patients and guests of Rowan Regional Medical Center, as well as members of the community, participated in a Memorial Day service on May 6 to honor those citizens who have served or are currently serving in the United States military.
Rick Parker, senior director of professional and support services, opened with words about the importance of observing Memorial Day.
Students from West Rowan High School ROTC performed the posting of the colors. Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War were honored for their service.
Carl Schlager played taps on top of the roof of RRMC as all saluted the American flag, which was lowered to half staff.
