More than a dozen people talked about their professions with North Rowan Middle School eighth-graders on Career Day.
Students went to three 25-minute sessions.
Speakers included Bill Kenerly, Rowan County district attorney; Jean Kennedy, retired teacher; Jim Hargrave, forensics; Deborah Krueger, dentistry; Susan McClary, nurse; Lt. Melanie Thompson, Salisbury Police Department; Tasha Wilson and Donnette Murray, counselors; Ted Williams, business owner; Angela Alford and Sonya Arnold, social workers; Major Worth and the ROTC, military; Trina Bungard, teacher; and Nick Brazee and Chris Miller of the Spencer Fire Department.
Staff members who volunteered to help with career day included Temika Turner, coordinator, Deidre Davis, Shay Geter, Amina Taffa, Jesse Byrd, Adam Deland, Wanda Peoples, Beth Huffman and Trina Bungard.
Also contributing were Darrin Turner, Kim Fink, Dianne Timmerman and Kim Turbyfill.
