Big Basstravaganza
Sam Weisensel of Granite Quarry has organized and will be director for a “Big Basstravaganza” Aug. 8 on High Rock Lake.
The event will feature hourly weigh-ins at Tamarac Marina. Participants may fish from the shore or boats, and blastoff is from any site.
Tournament hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Payouts are made for the top 10 heaviest bass every hour. As it it set up now, based on 250 contestants, $1,050 would be paid out each hour.
Plus, the overall heaviest bass in the tournament is worth $200; the second heaviest, $100.
Advertised payouts and places may vary depending on the number of entries.
The entry fee is $50 per contestant and should be made payable to Grab-Bass Fishing Products. The entry forms should be sent to 302 Sycamore St., Salisbury, NC 28146.
Entry fees and tournament registration must be received by July 25.
