SPENCER ó Firefighters were working late Saturday night to contain a house fire at 221 N. Salisbury Ave.
The three-alarm fire had firefighters staging in the Food Lion parking lot, according to communications monitored over a scanner.
Officials were saying they had the fire under control by 11:30 p.m. Firefighters were still on the scene, checking to make sure nothing blazed back up after that.
