Governor coming to Cauble Creek winery

Gov. Bev Perdue will appear in Salisbury Thursday to announce that Cauble Creek Winery is the 100th winery in the state.
The winery, located at 700 Cauble Creek Road, just off N.C. 150, is owned by William “Biff” and Anita Yost. The vineyard grows muscadine grapes and bottles the sweet wines they produce.
Perdue is expected to appear at 10:45 a.m.
She also will address business leaders in Statesville and make two jobs announcements in Statesville and Winston-Salem.
