DENVER, Colo. – Anne Claire Thompson and Jordan Grey Hauser were married at six o’clock in the evening on Sept. 22, 2012, at The Denver Botanic Gardens. The uncle of the groom, James Alan Christoferson, officiated. Following the wedding, a reception was held in their honor at The Denver Athletic Club.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Willard Chandler Thompson, III of Salisbury, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Haney Benfield and the late Dr. Benfield of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. Anne Wilson Covington Thompson of Wilmington, N.C., and Dr. and Mrs. Willard Chandler Thompson, Jr. of Charlotte. Anne Claire graduated from Salisbury High School and from North Carolina State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She has earned her degree as a Veterinary Technician at the Bel-Rae Institute in Denver and is employed at the Littleton Equine Center in Littleton.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Cheryl Marie Hauser of Asheville, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Grey Hauser of Littleton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Grey Hauser of Canby, Ore. Jordan is a graduate of Golden High School in Golden and Davidson College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He is employed with the Denver Fire Department.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Her maid of honor was her sister, Hannah Bennett Thompson, of Berkeley, Calif. Bridesmaids were cousin of the bride Lindsey Grace Benfield of Charlotte; Katherine Corcoran Gilbert, also of Charlotte; sister of the groom Madison Janae Hauser of Littleton; Lindsey Hampton Stout of Salisbury; Maegen Nichole Utchman of Denver; and Stacy Erin Whitton of Champaign, Ill.
The groom’s brother, Kyle James Hauser of Denver, stood as best man. Groomsmen were brother of the groom Matthew Steven Hauser of Littleton; Zachary Ryan Knight of Austin, Texas; Dylan Corey Lippert of Madison, Wisc.; Aaron Timothy Saunders of Chandler, Ari.; Trevor Alan Williamson of Golden; and Thomas Daniel Martinez and Paul Daniel Needham, both of Denver.
Readers during the ceremony were Kelly Elizabeth Ross of New York City and Zachary Ryan Knight.
The bride wore an ivory silk gown designed by Romona Keveza and given to her for the occasion by close family friend, Jane Dittmann Atkins of Raleigh, N.C. Her veil of Brussels Rose Point lace had been worn by her grandmother and her mother on their respective wedding days.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on the night before the wedding at the Breckinridge Brewery in Denver. Family and friends of the bride’s parents gave the bridesmaids luncheon on Friday at The Brown Palace Hotel. A cocktail buffet was given in the couple’s honor in Salisbury by friends of the brideÕs parents.
Anne Claire and Jordan took a honeymoon trip in Thailand and live in Denver.
