Catawba College singers perform March 2

SALISBURY — The Catawba Singers will perform their first concert of the Spring semester on Sunday, March 2, at 4 p.m. in the Omwake-Dearborn Chapel. The hour-long concert is free and open to the public.

“We Rise Again” will feature inspiring choral selections that focus on the stages of life and the enduring human spirit.

The concert will include works by Hagenberg, Stroope, Ola Gjeilo, with nearly every genre of music being represented.  

In addition to the choral selections, the program will feature solos performed by the Shuford School of Performing Arts students and faculty.

The 63 voices of the Catawba Singers are under the direction of Dr. Phillip E. Burges, Dean of the Shuford School of Performing Arts.  Susan Trivette, Catawba’s Collaborative Pianist, will accompany the ensemble.
