Rowan Sheriff’s Office makes another drug bust

Seven people were arrested by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 17 following a four-month-long investigation.
According to reports, investigators have been working to confirm illegal drug activity at 2129 Bringle Ferry Road. During the investigation, approximately 32 grams of crack cocaine and 257 grams of marijuana was seized from the residence.
On Feb. 17, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (SOCAT) stopped a car leaving the property. Cocaine was found on the driver.
Based on that traffic stop and additional evidence obtained during the months-long investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residents of 2129 Bringle Ferry Road. The search uncovered 11.38 grams of crack cocaine, 9.820 grams of fentanyl, 3.460 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and two Xanax bars.
The following people were arrested and charged following the search:
• Chad Vincent Lacey was charged with possession of cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of illegal narcotics and given a $100,000 secure bond.
• Julia Ann Cowan-Sanders was charged with possession of cocaine and given a $10,000 bond.
• Marcia Lewis was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine and trafficking in fentanyl and was held without bond on the pre-trial integrity act.
• Mark Edward Lewis was charged with possession of cocaine and given a $10,000 secured bond.
• Brandon James Still was charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of Xanax, and resist/obstruct/delay of a public officer and given a $10,000 secure bond.
• Alberto Comtrerias was charged with possession of cocaine and given a $10,000 secure bond.
• Suzy Ellen Moody was charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms and possession of Xanax and was served with several outstanding warrants form Cabarrus County. She was given a $30,000 secure bond.
