GIRLS SOCCER

SALISBURY — Maddie Crabb scored two goals as Salisbury beat East Davidson 3-0 in Central Carolina Conference play.

Addie Griffith scored the first goal for the Hornets.

Anna Kate Goodman had two assists. Jaqueline Rodriguez had the shutout in goal for the Hornets (4-1, 2-1).
Salisbury is home against Lexington on Wednesday.

West Rowan (2-6-1, 2-3-1) got two South Piedmont Conference wins as the Falcons beat Concord 4-1 on Monday after edging East Rowan 2-1 on Friday despite 16 saves by East’s Addie Lambert. Arden Miller scored for the Mustangs.
Carson (5-2-1) lost 6-0 to North Davidson in a non-conference match.

BOYS TENNIS

SALISBURY — Salisbury rolled 9-0 against Thomasville in Central Carolina Conference action.

Thomasville only had four players, so the Hornets (8-1, 4-0) had walkovers at No. 5 and No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

AJ Jarrell, Gray Davis, Bryant Davis and Ben Lawson won 6-0, 6-0 matches.

Jarrell-Gray Davis and Farah Hassan-Jashaun Epps won in doubles.

GRANITE QUARRY — Gray Stone Day beat East Rowan 6-3 in a non-conference match.

Gray Stone (8-1) won close matches at the top of the lineup. Lucas Maynor, William Baumann, Max Foote and Julian Bolin were singles winners for the Knights.

Thomas Stokes won at 4 singles for East (5-2), while Spencer Ingram won at 6.

Ingram-Noah Grooms won at No. 3 doubles for the Mustangs.

Winning doubles teams for Gray Stone were Maynor-Baumann and Foote-Tyler Conforti.

Heavy rain stopped the West Rowan-Mount Pleasant game in the first inning.
