SALISBURY — A local woman was killed in a collision on West Ridge Road Monday afternoon, according to N.C. State Highway Patrol, whose troopers investigated the accident.

According to investigators, state troopers were called to the 1300 block of West Ridge Road at 3:22 p.m. for a reported car crash. When emergency responders from the Franklin Fire Department and EMS arrived on the scene, unfortunately, Linvorril Jones Bell, 58, was pronounced deceased.

An investigation into the accident indicates that Bell, driving a 2018 Ford Focus, pulled out onto West Ridge Road from a private driveway, and did not see an oncoming 1999 Ford F350 driven by Justin Lee Livengood. The truck struck the left side door of the Focus. Livengood was medically checked over by EMS but was not taken for further treatment.

The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours.

An earlier post about the crash on the Post’s Facebook page has garnered many comments of prayers and comfort for both the families and first responders.
