HUNTERSVILLE — Host Lake Norman Charter shot 161 at Skybrook and won the first South Piedmont Conference match following the spring break.

Golfers will be back at it for another SPC match on Wednesday.

Lake Norman Charter got 40s from three golfers, plus a 41, to win by 11 shots.

Northwest Cabarrus’ Logan Swanger shot 37 for medalist honors. East Rowan’s Brady McIntyre tied NWC’s Talan Harrison for second at 39.

Golfers shooting 40 included South Rowan’s Dane Wheeler and Carson’s Jacob Rockwell.

East Rowan was second in the team scoring at 172. Next were South Rowan (174), West Rowan (179), Northwest (181), Carson (184), Concord (205), Central Cabarrus (213) and Robinson (224).

East’s other scorers were Griffin Robbins (43), Brody Benfield (44) and Mason Mainville (46).

South’s second and third scorers were Jadon Moore (43) and Carson Hurst (44). Cooper Welch and Miles Carden shot 47s.

Carson’s other scorers were Jonah Drye (41), Jake Young (49) and Andon McCullough (54).
