High school boys tennis: South tops Wonders

KANNAPOLIS — South Rowan won 5-4 against A.L. Brown on Wednesday as the Raiders concluded the regular season for boys tennis.

The Raiders (4-11) won exciting matches at 2 and 3 singles to make the difference. Leevi Fowler rallied to win 3-6, 6-1, (10-7), while Brylan Sloop came back to take a 4-6, 6-1, (11-9) victory.

Sawyer Basinger won at No. 1 singles for the Raiders, while Josh Brown won at No. 6.

South led 4-2 after singles and clinched the match with a win by Basinger-Sloop at No. 1 doubles.

A.L. Brown (0-9) got singles wins from Davin Shepherd and Colin Clark.

Noah Sinclair-Shepherd and Clark-Jeriel Robles won in doubles.
